I've been checking out some fun sites!
and most seem pretty close with eachother...
Who have you found to have the best customer service??
I've ordered a pattern from Farthingales La and it was here quick with a handwritten thanks on the invoice (I like that, as I do it myself)
Corset making supplies has also been very friendly and has great prices on the ebay store, as well as the regular website store.
I'm just doing some searching. In my size it is not cost effective for me (a professional seamstress) to pay someone to make one for me =)
Thanks!

Re: Your favorite Corset making Supply?
Sat, February 7, 2009 - 10:44 AMI've been ordering from Richard The Thread in LA for 20 years. Good selection, reasonable prices, EXCELLENT PEOPLE!!! They know me, have always asked after the family, and about what I am making at the time. Sometimes they will even compliment me on something of mine that they have seen! Good Folks! -

Re: Your favorite Corset making Supply?
Tue, February 10, 2009 - 10:17 AMOh, yeah, their shipping is quick and efficient (even when it is UPS Ground!). I get my orders in two days with just regular shipping (of course I am also in Cali, albeit Northern. But you being in Oregon shouldn't really make THAT much of a difference.)

My favorite place to get supplies is Greenburg & Hammer. They are great resource for steel busks, straight steel & spring steel stays as well as corset lacings & findings. They also sell coutille

For those of you in NYC, it's a wonderful little shop to visit too -

Re: Your favorite Corset making Supply?
Sun, March 1, 2009 - 9:20 PMI like G&H, too, and have shopped with them for years.
I have to admit that I have a new favorite, though.
tutu.com
Tutu is a dance supply company with unbelievable prices (especially the once or twice a year everything goes on sale for 50% off. Black coutil for $6/yd. are you kidding me???). I've started getting my coutil, spiral boning, boning tips, millinery wire and buckram from them. Great people. I can't get busks from them, of course, and I don't think they sell spring steel bones, but I am very, very impressed by the quality of products I get for the price.
