Thereare some ladies' articles of clothing that just plain make good sense. In the winter, I usually wear thigh highs. I got some 50 denier ones from MyTights, that look like regular men's dress socks where the public can see them when I sit. I find them much more practical than even silk long underwear beneath a suit, because the longies tend to bunch up at theabdomen. And no one need know that they have a fancy lace top. Now that I am tight lacing, I sure don't want to deal with anything extra beneath the bottom of the corset.

I did like this one bit from the article:

"But the real inspiration behind Nuffer's corset -- laced up the back with a clip-open busk at the front -- dates back to the heady days of the 1789 French Revolution.

Male followers of utopian philosopher and economist, Count Claude Henri de Saint-Simon, at the time adopted the corset precisely because it was impossible to lace up alone. Having to help each other with the ties symbolised the humanitarian helping-other ideals of the Saint-Simonien movement."

Don't know if it's true, but the I love the idea of a bunch of idealistic French dandies wearing corsets as a symbol of their beliefs...

My sweetie wears a corset often. I love it. I'll even post a photo of it here--it's one of him wearing it at Burning Man. He also wears kilts--and has a nice skirt that he wears from time to time as well.

I mean really--is this so shocking to anyone at this point? Women have been wearing what was always considered "men's" clothing for decades now---why shouldn't the guys get a shot at what they like that we wear?
